I am taking part in the RBC Race for the Kids on Sunday 7 June 2015.
The RBC Race for the Kids is Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity’s annual 5k family fun run.
I'll be be taking part with thousands of other runners to raise vital funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Why Great Ormond Street Hospital needs our help
The demand for Great Ormond Street Hospital's services has never been greater. But this demand is increasing faster than the ability to treat the children who need their help. To solve this problem, Great Ormond Street Hospital is undergoing a major redevelopment. By rebuilding and refurbishing the hospital, they'll be able to care for more sick children and transform more lives.
By sponsoring me you will help make these changes happen, so please give generously.
Our mission at Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity is to enhance Great Ormond Street Hospital’s (GOSH) ability to transform the health and wellbeing of children and young people, giving them the best chance to fulfil their potential.
We provide funds to four key areas in order for the hospital to:
- Rebuild and expand outdated clinical facilities, enabling the hospital to treat more children in modern environments.
- Deliver patient, family and staff support services.
- Undertake vital research to pioneer new treatments for rare and complex conditions.
- Replace or gain new cutting-edge medical equipment.
