Welcome to My Personal Page
I’m taking part in the RBC Race for the Kids 2016 on Sunday 15th May(!!!)
Anyone who has met me will have great difficulty imagining this. And rightly so. In the aftermath of the French Revolution, when Jean-Charles de Borda was appointed chair of a commission put in place to reform units of measurement, it was decided that one ten-millionth of the distance from the North Pole to the Equator via Paris should be called one metre. When that decision was made, no-one had the faintest inkling that I might one day attempt to run five thousand of these things, in a row.
It sounds like an amazing feat. An amazing pair of feet, indeed. All that I ask is that you express your amazement through the medium of incredibly generous monetary donation to Great Ormond Street Hospital. It's a fantastic cause – your money will help children and their families through very difficult times.
Why Great Ormond Street Hospital needs our help
Great Ormond Street Hospital is undergoing a major redevelopment. The demand for their world-class services is increasing faster than the ability to see and treat the children who need their help. Rebuilding and refurbishing outdated buildings will create additional space for patients, enabling them to treat more sick children and keep up with demand.
By sponsoring me, you’ll be helping to make these changes happen, so please give generously.

Our mission at Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity is to enhance Great Ormond Street Hospital’s (GOSH) ability to transform the health and wellbeing of children and young people, giving them the best chance to fulfil their potential.
We provide funds to four key areas in order for the hospital to:
- Rebuild and expand outdated clinical facilities, enabling the hospital to treat more children in modern environments.
- Deliver patient, family and staff support services.
- Undertake vital research to pioneer new treatments for rare and complex conditions.
- Replace or gain new cutting-edge medical equipment.
