How long is it?
It's a 5k course through the iconic surroundings of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
How do I sign up?
Registering is really easy.Just click on one of the sign up options and follow the steps.
How much does it cost?
The registration fee is:
Your registration fee includes a complimentary t-shirt to wear at the event and everyone will receive a goody bag and medal as they cross the finish line.
What time does it start?
The race will start at 11am, with a warm-up before.
How long will it take?
You can walk, jog or run. Whether you want to finish in a fast time or take a stroll with your friends, it can take anywhere between 15 minutes to over an hour. There is plenty happening at the event site and so there is no rush to complete the course in a specified time.
Can we enter as a team?
Yes! Entering as a team is an exciting way of taking part, why not get some friendly competition going?
When do I get my complimentary t-shirt?
Your t-shirt will be sent to you along with your event day information pack and you will receive it approximately 1-2 weeks before the event (depending on when you sign up).
Can I wear a sponsor’s t-shirt?
Yes. You might find that you’ll be able to raise a lot more money if you wear your company's t-shirt or even fancy dress. If it helps to raise more funds, and it’s safe to run in it, then please feel free.
Is there other entertainment on the day?
Yes! As well as the run itself there will be plenty of other entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.
Do I have to fundraise?
We don't set any minimum fundraising targets but we'd love you to fundraise. Your registration fee helps to cover the cost of holding the event, so by fundraising on top you will help us do vital redevelopment and rebuilding work at the hospital. Once this work has been completed, we'll be able to treat more sick children who need our help and keep up with an increasing demand on our world-class services.
How old do you have to be to take part?
There's no age limit – everyone's welcome! If you are under the age of 16 then you will need a parent or guardian's consent. It's important to note that children remain the responsibility of the primary carer at all times.
Will there be changing facilities?
There will be no changing facilities at the event so we advise you to arrive ready to go in your running gear!
Will there be baggage storage facilities?
Unfortunately there will be no baggage storage facilities at the event.
Will there be refreshments?
Refreshments will be available to purchase throughout the day in the event site. There will also be bottled water available at two water stations along the route and in the event village.
Can I walk?
Of course. The event is for everyone, whether you want to walk, jog, run or even scoot!
What if I can't finish the course?
It doesn't matter – it's a fun run and the main aim is to have fun and raise as much money as you can for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Is there any medical back up?
We will have a number of paramedics on duty. Please ensure you give an emergency contact in the space provided on the back of your runner number.
Is the route accessible to wheelchair users?
Yes, the route takes you through the park on its paved pathways and so is accessible to all. Please be aware that the main event area is on grass.
